The Design Series 5-piece Shell Pack is a highly versatile all-maple kit featuring our most popular sizes in F.A.S.T (Fundamentally Accurate-Sized Tom) depths. Available in three durable Specialty Lacquer finishes and outfitted with a host of pro level features, it's designed to deliver in every playing situation.
Design Series 5-piece Lacquer Shell Pack with Chrome Hardware Cherry Stein. The DW Design Series takes place on the brand's custom shop-inspired lineage at a price point previously unheard of. In addition to new developments and established DW innovations, these drums feature North American maple shells that include a wide tonal spectrum with attack, punch and heat. The 8-ply Tom and Kick Shell was built with the latest manufacturing technology from DW's Shell Shop, HVLT. It is not just any shell; It is composed of VLT (Vertical Low Timber) grain orientation with external horizontal ply (H in HVLT) to provide greater depth, body and tuning range than the competition. Design Series Snares include 10-ply HVX shells. The Snares include an artist-approved mag throw off and all drums include true-pitch tuning rods. Finally, DW's popular FAST (Indeterminate Accurate Size Tom) Drum Sizing and Suspension Tom Mount (STM) systems will ensure that these drums are capable of resonating as they are intended. Each drum is finished in one of three durable lacquer colors and fitted with a DW head by Remo. Add to all these features and you have a kit that the drummer is sure to talk to.
